Terms & Conditions

Important — Please Read

These Terms & Conditions govern your purchase from Craft Films LA LLC (“Craft,” “we,” “us,” “our”). By placing an order you agree to the terms below.

Draft notice: This document is a working draft. Craft Films LA recommends review with a California-licensed attorney before relying on it in production.

1. Services

Craft Films LA provides video and photo production services including one-off packages, monthly content subscriptions, and event videography. The specific deliverables of your order are described on the product page where you selected the item.

2. Pricing, Payment, and Surcharges

Prices are shown in USD. Per California payment-surcharge-disclosure law, processing fees for card, ACH, PayPal, Venmo, and bank wire payments are passed through to the client at the exact processor cost. Zelle and cash payments carry no surcharge. The exact amount per method is shown at checkout.

3. Automatic Renewal — Subscriptions Only (California ARL)

Monthly content subscription plans auto-renew. Quarterly plans auto-renew every three months after the initial 3-month term. Annual plans auto-renew every twelve months after the initial 12-month term. We send a reminder at least 7 days before any annual renewal, as required by California law.

Cancellation: Monthly plans cancel anytime by replying “CANCEL” to any Craft email, calling (323) 319-8490, or emailing info@thecraftfilms.com. Quarterly and Annual plans honor the current commitment period.

4. Full Refund Guarantee

If Craft Films LA is unable to deliver the agreed service for any reason attributable to Craft (crew illness, equipment failure, scheduling error on our end), you receive a 100% refund of amounts paid for the affected service period. No deductions, no restocking fees. Refunds issued to the original payment method within 10 business days.

5. Force Majeure (Act of God)

If an act of God, natural disaster, pandemic, government order, war, or similar event beyond either party’s reasonable control prevents Craft from performing, both parties share equally — Craft refunds 50% of amounts paid; the client absorbs the remaining 50% as shared risk.

6. Client Responsibilities and Equipment Insurance

Equipment liability insurance is the client’s responsibility. While Craft’s equipment is at the client’s event or in the client’s custody, the client is responsible for insuring it against damage, loss, or theft. Replacement cost is the client’s responsibility.

Client also arranges venue permits, model/talent releases for anyone appearing on camera, and safe set conditions (adequate power, parking, access).

7. Deliverables, Revisions, and Timelines

Standard turnaround is 2–3 weeks from event or shoot date for first-cut delivery. 2 revision rounds per deliverable are included. Additional revisions billed at $150/hr. Finished deliverables provided as masters in common formats.

8. Usage Rights and Copyright

Upon receipt of full payment, Craft Films LA grants the client a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and distribute the finished deliverables for commercial and promotional purposes.

Craft retains the right to use thumbnails and excerpts in Craft’s portfolio and marketing unless the client requests otherwise in writing before shoot.

Raw footage (unused takes) remains the sole property of Craft Films LA unless specifically licensed in writing.

9. Payment Methods

Six methods: Zelle ($0 fee — sent to (323) 319-8490, recipient CRAFT FILMS LA LLC); Cash ($0 fee — in-person pickup); Credit/Debit Card (+2.9% + $0.30); PayPal (+2.99% + $0.49); Venmo (+3.49% + $0.49); Bank Wire (+$15 flat). Craft receives the base price in all cases; surcharges go directly to the payment processor.

10. Cancellation by Client

12. Limitation of Liability

Craft is not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages. Nothing in this section limits liability for Craft’s gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be limited under California law.
